Ministries
Garfield Memorial United Methodist
congregation members actively participate in a wide variety of ministries,
missions and outreach. Ministry development is a process in which we allow
God to use each of our special talents to continue to grow in Him, or to
help aid our fellow brethren.
Below are just a few examples of how God is working through the lives of
congregation members at the church. Follow the links to learn more.
DRAMA
MINISTRY
By Nikki Barger, Drama
Ministry Director
Garfield Memorial Church is trying to find new and creative ways to help
people worship God. The newest venue is our Drama Ministry!Currently, we
are creating short scenes that help spark connections to the theme and
message each week. There are many ways you can be a part of this
ministry, whether it is acting, building or finding props or set pieces,
writing scripts, or providing moral support. If you think you have it
(or think you don’t!), we want you. You should never limit God’s ability
to form your talent and what you can do. We need anyone in any place in
their life and at any age. You can serve as little or as much as you
feel you can offer. If you are interested, please contact Nikki Barger;
telephone number (419) 733-7897, or email address is
Nikki@ garfieldchurch.org.
RADICAL HOSPITALITY
One way to get to know people at church is to open the
doors and shake their hands! If you enjoy meeting people and offering
God's love via your smile, please join us in Radical Hospitality. We
especially need people who love the outdoors! Contact Cheri Shumaker at
cherishu@ix.netcom.com or call the church office for more information.
Training is provided and the next date will be on
September 14, Sunday morning at 9:30, before the 10:30 service, in the
Wesley room.
If you have any questions about any of our ministries, please contact Pastor Terry McHugh at 216.831.1942 x 22 |
