Outreach: Widening the Circle
From tailgate parties to movies to parades, there are lots of ways to widen the circle through Outreach. Contact Outreach Coordinator Nikki Froehlich (firstname.lastname@example.org) to learn how you can serve.
Food Pantry Assistance
We have food pantries at both locations. There are 3 ways you can help: 1. DONATE grocery gifts cards (Aldi’s, Giant Eagle) in denominations of $25 & bring to either church office or place in the offering; 2. DONATE nonperishable items, especially canned fruit, jelly or jam, and personal hygiene items; 3. Make a monetary donation (cash, check, or digitally) and note that it is for the food pantry. If you are in need of assistance, please contact either church office: Pepper Pike, 216.831.1566 or South Euclid, 216.381.2953. Volunteers are needed to assist with distribution of food. For details, contact Mary Jo Garrison 440-423-0924 or Nancy Rapaszky 440-725-7214.
Kidz Club (South Euclid)
Kidz Club is our outreach to children and youth in the South Euclid area. Kidz Club happens on Wednesdays from 3:00-5:00 PM. Kidz Club is getting HUGE. We are currently engaging over 40 kids each week. We need you to help us connect with elementary, junior high and high school youth in this ministry. If interested in serving, please contact Campus Pastor Scott by email at email@example.com or phone/text at 419.834.5120.
Change a Child’s Life - Be a Mentor
If you are interested in being a mentor, tutor, or both for the Greenview Student Mentoring and Tutoring Program, contact Pastor Scott Blevins (firstname.lastname@example.org) ASAP so we can start the process of having you approved as a volunteer through the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Schools.
The Back to School Blast needs your help!
We're raising $10,000 so we can give kids in the Cleveland community and beyond new backpacks. If we sponsor 500 backpacks (filled with school supplies!) at $20 per backpack, we'll also be able to give new backpacks to kids in Liberia (Camphor Mission) and kids at Pine Ridge Native American Reservation (South Dakota). Stop by the Blast table in the lobby on Sunday or visit garfieldschoolblast.com to sponsor a backpack, check out where we stand in our backpack countdown, and learn how to volunteer, partner, donate, or register (the Blast is for kids grades K - 12 enrolled in Medicaid or without health insurance). Want to support the Blast Book Fair? You can drop off new and gently used books for kids grades K - 12, plus books and magazines for parents and caregivers, in the book bins at our Pepper Pike and South Euclid campuses. Thank you for your support of this special event!
