WHO WE ARE
Chip's joy is seeing new people come to faith, and he calls Garfield Memorial a place that "reflects the kingdom of God in its diversity and a place of sheer grace!" Chip is a highly sought after preacher and speaker. He has been keynote speaker at some of the major gatherings in The United Methodist Church; as well as other larger church gatherings, such as appearing several times on the national broadcast Real Life from Riverbend Church in Austin, Texas. Prior to entering the ministry, Chip was a CEO in the corporate community, serving as President and General Manager of Mahoning Municipal Products, Inc. Pastor Chip is married to "his best friend," Terri, and has three children.
Reception; Hospitality & Membership Care
Terri has a passion for helping newcomers find their way into ministry at Garfield Memorial Church. Terri oversees our Mingle Ministry which focuses on hospitality for first time guests. Terri also serves as a Servant Ministry Consultant, connecting and consulting with those who are trying to discern their Sweet Spot. Terri can be found in the church office during the week at our reception desk.
Terry oversees the mission and ministry of Garfield Memorial at nearly every level. She directs our On Ramps ministry training, seeking to instruct and guide all members of Garfield Memorial into servant ministry. She trains and directs Journey group leaders and feels that every member of Garfield Memorial can be active in small groups - bringing each person joy, connectedness and growth in the Spirit. Terry oversees all of the program staff at the church. Terry and her husband Joe have three sons.

Michael & Amelia Traylor
Rev. Michael Traylor and Rev. Amelia Cleveland Traylor are ordained in the Free Methodist Church and have extensive pastoral experience and share a deep passion for helping people grow spiritually. They are both practicing physicians and have two children.
Scott is passionate about movies, chicken wings, and crossing social, cultural and political barriers to share the love of Jesus with new people. Scott has been a pastor since 1996, and he spent six years helping start a school for students who hate school in Seneca County. He's been married to his amazing wife Aimee since 1995 and they have two wonderful children.
Pastor Brian serves in our worship team and as our community pastor. Brian and his wife Amanda have two children.
“When this life is over what will any of us have to justify our existence? Except that we answered the call to be witnesses for Christ in a world that has forgotten Him” This is Justin’s mantra, to be a witness to a lost world. The best way to express himself and his love for Christ is through the music he creates. Justin is now also the lead guitar and vocalist in the Christian rock band Harlend. Before coming up to Cleveland worked at worship leader for the Avenue in Lima, Ohio.

Alex and Perry oversee our Jr. & Senior high youth ministry, including our weekly youth group for students in grades 6-8 and 9-12.
Children's Minister - South Euclid
Kymm's passion is introducing children to the love of Jesus Christ. Kymm leads our Children's Ministry in South Euclid after serving as the Children's Minister in Pepper Pike and growing the ministry from 15 to close to 100 kids every Sunday! Kymm and her husband Alan live in Orange with their three children Ashleigh, Matthew, and Mackenzie. They also have 3 dogs, a cat, and a lizard affectionately called the Beast.

Children's Minister - Pepper Pike
Lita has worked with children and teens through various programs in both the nonprofit and public education sectors. She lives and works in Warren, Ohio with her husband Jeff, and their faithful friend, Rosa, the Portuguese Water Dog.

Enid is part of our Children's Ministry team who ensures all children are included in our ministries and that every child has access to learn and experience the love of Jesus Christ.
Organist, Pepper Pike (Heritage)
Maribeth has been the organist at Garfield's 9:30 Heritage Worship Service for 13 years. She has worked with children in the Cleveland Heights school system, accompanying for school programs and plays. She also was the music director for Heights Youth Theatre for seventeen years. Maribeth is married to Don, and has two children, Adam and Lea.
Choir Director, Pepper Pike (Heritage)
Leading Garfield’s Care Ministry, Trina assists and facilitates the care needs of our community; empowering our congregation to be a people who care for one another, and raising awareness and facilitating programming in the areas of health and wellness. Trina brings many gifts to this ministry. She has extensive experience as a health care professional. Trina is an RN serving as staff nurse at the Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities, and has also worked as a nurse at the Cleveland Clinic. Trina has infectious warmth, deep compassion, strong faith, and is committed to the mission and vision of Christ’s church at GMC. Trina is also active in our Victorious Voices Gospel choir. Trina and her husband Gerald have three children - Steven, Wesley, and Jessica and two foster children.
Small Groups Pastor
Dave grew up down the road from Garfield’s Pepper Pike location, has been married to Lindsey Jezek since 2006, and they have three amazing children. While he loves technology and cooking, his true passion is connecting people together in Small Groups to help develop their relationship with God and with each other. He is responsible for training new small group leaders, supporting existing small groups, helping them expand their horizons, and putting into practice what they hear or experience in church.
Rev. Loren Gisselbeck
Rev. Loren Gisselbeck works with Care Minister Trina Carrier and the pastors to provide pastoral care. Loren is a retired United Methodist Minister. Throughout his career, Loren has been involved in the Parish Ministry. He has established a day care center for families on welfare, established a clergy/doctor dialogue program, developed a chaplaincy program at a local hospital, developed a homeless shelter for women and children, as well as establishing an abused persons home for women and children. Loren and his wife Helen have been married for 52 years and both are members of our Chancel Choir. They have 3 children and 7 grandchildren.
Craig & Rosy Berkey
Craig handles the finances of Garfield Memorial Church and Foundation along with assistance from his wife Rosy. Craig is a CPA who has a passion for youth and music ministry. He has previously directed business activities of a hospital and a toy company. In his effort to break the “accountant” stereotype, he worked as an elementary school teacher in the Bedford City Schools, and co-directed a church gospel choir along with Rosy. Craig & Rosy love spending time with family which includes a growing number of grandchildren.
