Lunar New Year is the most celebrated holiday in East Asia and in many Asian-American communities throughout the US. 2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse, which some say is a time for bold action, dynamic growth, innovation, and adventure! Lunar New Year begins on Feb, 17, 2026 and celebrations can last until the next full moon, or about 15 days later. In the 12-year cycle zodiac, those born in the year of the horse are independent, active, and sociable.

Ash Wednesday: Everyone is invited to begin the season of spiritual preparation for Easter by driving thru on Wednesday, February 18, anytime between 7:00-9:00 am. The House of Prayer will be offering ashes, or anointing oil, for those who prefer it. We will also host a worship service in the Heritage sanctuary on Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm with the opportunity to receive ashes or anointing oil. Childcare will be provided during the worship service.
