House of Prayer Study– Mondays 7:30-9:00 PM, Pepper Pike (Community Room).
Resolving Everyday Conflict is an eight week DVD study that unpacks the amazing things the Bible has to say about conflict and relationships. Throughout this study, we will find the powerful and practical answers we have been looking for as we dig into topics such as defining the conflicts, dealing with harmful responses and moving toward forgiveness.
We are expanding our outreach and going out into the community to share with others all over the Love of God. To bring a spirit of prayer and hope to all, come and help us to extend our reach further with new and exciting ministries from Homeless people to our Mobile Ministry. For more information or to help serve join us Monday and/or Thursday nights or contact our team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
House of Prayer-Nursing Home Mobile Ministry
When I came to Garfield I had on my mind to join a support group. Little did I know GOD had a different plan for me and when GOD calls we must answer.
HIS focus is that population of people who have already given their best to build up their communities. His vision is a mobile ministry the preserves the dignity of the more seasoned individual while promoting Christ centered relationships.
Garfield’s House of Prayer answered that call. Once a month we leave the building EQUIPPED With GOD’s instruction, centering music, a relational activity, communion, anointing and most of all relationship with our own shut ins.
We are already serving at Hamlet (Chagrin Falls) and the ground work is being laid to add South Franklin Circle to our list. We will begin here and be confident that GOD will widen our circle.
Blessings, Your sister in Christ-Debb Fields
Broken Bread Ministries
Matthew 4:4 “But he answered, “It is written, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
Just as we need God every single day, we need Bread and nourishment every day, and it can be one of the most precious gifts. To break bread and share a meal, to bless someone with food and talk and share and laugh around a table is one of the most beautiful times of the day. This ministry is to expand the table we eat at, to give and bless those with food and the Word. To bring members of our community and our church together and make neighbors into family, to make strangers into friends. This mobile ministry is about preparing food and bringing it to people in need and to share with those in need. Our first engagement will be connecting to serve with the Second Shirt Ministry to make dinner for the homeless. We will be preparing meals for over 300 people next month and delivering it to the shelter. We are always looking for helping hands in the kitchen and to help serve and bless all we can.
For this First outing we are looking for donations for those who are able to contribute financially or food wise for our menu. For this First and Second week 6/24 and 7/1 we are looking for non perishable items we need 75 1lb boxes of uncooked Spaghetti or Linguine, 25 Packets of Instant Vanilla & Chocolate pudding mix, 4 10oz bottles of Olive oil.
For the third and final week we are looking for 60/70 lbs of raw boneless chicken. 50 heads of Lettuce, 40 tomatoes and 30 onions. Shredded Cheese and Croutons, and 20 containers of Salad Dressing (variety).
For information about serving or for Donations times and location please contact Morgan Schnell at email@example.com
Second Shirt Ministries
John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.”’ – Luke 3:11 (NIV)
Homelessness is an international epidemic, and the homeless are a largely forgotten sector of the population. That is why House of Prayer is happy to announce a new mobile ministry called Second Shirt Ministries. The aim of Second Shirt Ministries is to go out into the city of Cleveland to be the face of Christ and to provide food, clothing, and dignity to these people who have been cast out of society. Our next mission will be on July 21. You can take part in two ways:
Morgan Schell of House of Prayer will be facilitating the preparation of the food. He has set aside two provisional dates for this– the evening of Friday July 20th and the morning of Saturday July 21st (to be confirmed). If you are interested in assisting with the food preparation, please contact Morgan at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up and to get more details.
The second opportunity to serve in this ministry will be at the shelter on Saturday July 21st. We will again be going in to the shelter and serving food to the residents. Please note that there is limited space in the kitchen so we will be capping the number of volunteers this time around. Please note therefore that we will need firm commitments for serving in the kitchen. If you would like to have your name on the list but cannot commit, please let me know so I can put you on a tentative list, but if you are going to commit, I ask that you take the commitment seriously.
If God has placed a desire on your heart to serve those less fortunate, please contact Clayton Papenfus email@example.com
Please come to our interactive prayer room and post a prayer request on our Chalk Request Board (near the Sanctuary, Pepper Pike campus). You can also donate a cross for our Cross wall. The theme of Prayer Room is based on John 10:9, ” I am the Door”
