Joe comes to the Garfield team after more than twenty years pastoring churches throughout northeast Ohio, most recently leading his church in Akron to transition into a healthy multiethnic congregation.
Joe has a passion for creating safe, welcoming space for people to join together giving thanks for God's love in Jesus Christ, as well as supporting one another through the challenges of life, and celebrating the beauty of God's diversity in humanity.
Joe and his spouse Jeanette have been married for twenty-seven years, with seven children, six boys and one girl.
Joe is an ordained United Methodist pastor, with a Doctor of Ministry in Wesleyan Practices from Ashland Theological Seminary, where he serves in an adjunct role as an pastoral mentor.
